Paul S. Atkins is a graduate of The West Virginia University School of Law, class of 1975. He is admitted to practice before all courts in the State of West Virginia, the United States Federal Court for the Southern District of West Virginia, and the United States Supreme Court.
Paul worked with Legal Aid shortly after graduation and then opened his own office in Charleston, West Virginia. First moving his office to St. Albans and finally to Buffalo, West Virginia, he is the founding member of Atkins & Ogle Law Offices, LC. Working primarily in assisting financial institutions with their recovery of accounts receivables since 1981, Paul also served many years on a panel of mental hygiene attorneys. Paul is a retired Major and Judge Advocate General from the Army National Guard.
Paul lives with his wife in Buffalo, West Virginia and is a member of Trinity Fellowship Pentecostal Holiness Church in St. Albans, West Virginia, where he has served as a deacon and trustee for over 25 years.
James B. Atkins is a managing attorney for Atkins & Ogle Law Offices, LC in Buffalo, West Virginia. His focus area is debt collection, with a history in contracts and criminal defense. Jamie is admitted to the West Virginia State Bar, the U.S. District Court Southern District of West Virginia, and is the president of the Putnam County Bar Association.
Jamie graduated cum laude from Glenville State College, with a bachelor’s degree in music education. He received the Student of the Year award upon graduation.
Jamie earned a degree from the West Virginia University College of Law in 2001. He held the position of President for both the Lugar Trial Association and the Christian Legal Society and as well as Chair for the Ethics Committee. He also earned selection into the National Order of Barristers. He has taught as an adjunct lecturer for Glenville State College and West Virginia State University and co-authored/taught, "How to Get Results in Collection of Delinquent Debts in West Virginia."
Jamie is a lifelong member of Trinity Fellowship Pentecostal Holiness Church in St. Albans, West Virginia. He stays active with church, activities with his kids, coaching baseball with the Little League, and lots of musical opportunities. Jamie and his wife live in Scott Depot, West Virginia with their three children.
Bree Whipp Ogle is a managing attorney for Atkins & Ogle Law Offices, LC in Buffalo, West Virginia. Her focus area is debt collection. Bree earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Marshall University in 2002, graduating magna cum laude. While attending Marshall, she was a member of Phi Eta Sigma, Gamma Beta Phi, and Beta Gamma Sigma honor societies. Upon graduation from Marshall, Bree received the Senior Key Award. She was also a member of Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority and held many offices including President.
Bree received her law degree from West Virginia University College of Law in 2005. Bree was a class officer, and was a member of the Law Clinic. Bree is admitted to practice before the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals and the United States District Courts for the Southern District. She is a member of the West Virginia State Bar, the Putnam County Bar Association, and the Putnam County Criminal Defense Bar Association.
Bree is an active member of Forrest Burdette United Methodist Church in Hurricane, West Virginia. Bree and her husband live in Hurricane, West Virginia with their two children.
A lifelong resident of Buffalo, West Virginia, Lisa came to our firm in 2002. She served as client liaison prior to being promoted to her current position as A&O’s Office Manager. With more than 12 years of service, Lisa has been honored for achieving 10 years of service to the firm, named the Employee of the Year in 2011 and recognized for Significant Contributions to Atkins & Ogle Law Offices in 2012. Lisa stays very active in the community with her husband and sons, has a decade of volunteer work with Putnam County 4-H, and is an active member of the Buffalo United Methodist Church.
Dean joined Atkins & Ogle after a long and distinguished career in the armed services. Retiring as a Master Gunnery Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps, Dean brings his Lean Six Sigma training, attention to detail, and extensive leadership and management skills to the team. He manages our social media presence, special projects, and is directly involved in the development of both our in-house processes and new relationships. Dean lives in Winfield, West Virginia with his wife and two children.
Tia came to us in 2008. She has performed as a Legal Assistant during her six years on the team and has served as our Client Services Manager since early 2010. Tia was named the Employee of the Year in 2012 for her exemplary performance and continues to be a key member of the A&O staff. Tia presently resides in Buffalo, West Virginia with her husband and two children.
Dawni came to Atkins & Ogle in 2010 with years of customer service experience which ranged from small business to state government. She initially served as the team member responsible for receiving, managing, and digitally capturing all media for the office. Dawni became our primary client liaison in late 2011 and has performed those duties in an exemplary manner since. She lives with her husband and three children in Buffalo, West Virginia and is a member of the Midway Methodist Church in Eleanor, West Virginia.
Mary has been working as a member of our team since 2003 and has operated in multiple capacities during her 11 years of service. She currently specializes in post-judgment remedies for Atkins & Ogle and has done so since 2005. Mary received a Certificate of Achievement as well as a Certificate of Appreciation in 2012 for significant contributions to the firm and was named the Employee of the Year in 2013. Mary is a lifelong resident of Buffalo, West Virginia and a member of the United Methodist Church where she’s been the church pianist for 36 years.
Jennifer came to Atkins & Ogle in 2008 and has served as the lead employee over case review and preparation since 2009. Jennifer is also our primary conduit between our office and the multitude of courts with which we continually communicate. She received a Certificate of Appreciation during her time with A&O and has been awarded for reaching the milestone of 5 years of excellent service. Jennifer graduated from Marshall University with an Associate’s degree in Legal Assisting. Jennifer and her husband live in Culloden, West Virginia.
Keith has been an accounts receivables agent at Atkins & Ogle since 2005. He brings 10 years of invaluable experience to the team. As such, Keith is a key advisor on matters pertaining to compliance and client requirements and is the primary trainer and oversight provider for all accounts receivables matters.
